Mica band heaters are mainly used in the plastic industry to attain a desired sheath temperature. It is critical to choose the thickness of mica layer, we choose it appropriately so that heat transfer from heating core to the machine barrel is optimized. The resistance wire used for winding is critically selected by us and the winding process itself is monitored to provide a uniform heat distribution throughout the band heater. The inner contact surface firmly grips the machine barrel for excellent heat transfer.
